(Los Angeles, CA) - San Francisco women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to Loyola Marymount in West Coast Conference at Sullivan Field on Friday afternoon. USF drops to 6-6-5, 1-4 WCC, while LMU improves to 10-6-2, 2-3-1 WCC.

LMU made the first move, 30 minutes into the match. Julie Gallaudet headed the ball in after a corner from Kelley Lawson. Then, at 87:38, the Lions closed it out with a scoring shot from Kristen Garcia. Gallaudet earned the assist on the play.

Loyola Marymount held the shot advantage 10-7 and the corner advantage 5-4. Senior goalkeeper Kelly Pohle had three saves in the match. Senior Kristina Hall led the Dons with two shots. Sophomores Kallie Caldwell, Molly Hall, and Keonna Robinson, and freshmen Aly Drake and Joan Piasta each had one.

"The kids played with great effort and enthusiasm today," said head coach Mark Carr. "It came down to two set pieces where we were unable to stay with out marks. We must look forward to Sunday."

USF returns to action on Sunday at Cal State Bakersfield. Kick off is set for 11:00 AM.
