(San Francisco, CA) - San Francisco women's soccer started off the spring season with two exhibition wins at Negoesco Stadium. The Dons defeated both San Jose State and Chico State 3-1 on Saturday, March 7.
In the 3-1 victory over San Jose State, junior midfielder Kristina Hall scored first, followed by freshman forward Megan Bucci. Closing out scoring for the Dons, freshman forward Molly Hall secured the victory.
USF stayed strong against Chico State, capturing another 3-1 victory. Molly Hall scored first, with senior forward Alexis Mielke following with another. Kristina Hall added the final strike for the Dons.
Head coach Mark Carr was pleased with the team's performance. "Great start to our spring. Some bright moments and it is always nice to hit the back of the net. I hope that we continue to build on these results in training," said Carr.
USF continues spring action, Saturday, April 4 versus the Bay Area's semi pro team. California Storm. Kick off is set for 7:00 PM at Negoesco Field and is open to the public.
