Complete Release in PDF Format THIS WEEK FOR THE DONS: USF returns to Negoesco Stadium for a two game non-conference weekend. The Dons will host San Jose State (1-3-2) on Thursday at 5:00 PM. In their last meeting, USF and SJSU battled to a double overtime 3-3 tie to open the 2007 season (9/2/). On Sunday, the Dons welcome Pacific for a 5:00 PM match. The Tigers took a 2-1 victory the last time these two teams faced off (9/26/06). Before USF, Pacific hosts Iona at Stagg Memorial Stadium. NEXT UP FOR USF: USF travels to southern California for two non-conference match-ups next week. The Dons will be in Irvine on Friday (9/26) for a 7:00 PM match with the Anteaters and in Northridge on Sunday for a 1:00 PM meeting with the Matadors. FRESHMEN MAKING AN IMPACT: Through seven games this season, the incoming freshmen have been making quite an impact, with 13 of the 14 already seeing significant playing time. Two of them have already recorded not only their first collegiate goals, but they were also game winners. Forward Kelli Woodard earned the win for USF with a shot against Northern Colorado (W 1-0, 8/29). She also had the assist in USF's 1-0 season opening win over Fresno State (8/22). Forward Nicole Moore also earned the win for the Dons in a 1-0 victory over Tennessee-Martin in the Pacific Fall Classic (9/12). RETURNERS DOING THEIR JOB: USF veterans are doing their job on the field, especially senior midfielder Katherine Kimure and junior forward Kristina Hall. Kimure scored the Dons first goal of the year, a game winner in the 1-0 victory over Fresno State (8/22). Hall scored a goal in the 4-1 loss to Colorado that prevented the Dons from being shutout on the road (8/31). Sophomore forward Keonna Robinson also got in on the action, adding an assist to freshman Kelli Woodard's goal against Northern Colorado (8/29). DONS AMONG THE WCC LEADERS: Three Dons are among the top ten in six categories in the West Coast Conference. Senior midfielder Katherine Kimure is 8th in total shots (18), and also in shots per game (2.57). In the net, junior Kelly Pohle is tied for fourth with two shutouts, fifth with 3.40 saves per game, and sixth in both saves (17) and goals against average (1.26). Senior goalie Anika Steig is seventh in saves (13) and tied for eighth with one shutout. As a team, USF is second with four shutouts and tied for second with 35 saves. WEEK FIVE OPPONENT CAPSULES

SJSU comes to the Hilltop on Thursday with a record of 1-3-2. Their lone win was a 1-0 victory over Sacramento State. Freshman goalkeeper Jordan-Michelle Santos was named the WAC Defensive Player of the Week (9/8-14) after she recorded her third collegiate shutout on Sunday.
A LOOK AT PACIFIC: The Tigers currently sit one game under .500 (3-4-0) in head coach Keith Coleman's 15th year at Pacific. UP earned wins over Sacremto State (2-0), Nevada (1-0) and Hawai'i (2-1). Freshman midfielder Angelica Figueroa leads the Tigers with five points (two goals, one assist). Freshman forward Kristina Wavomba also has two goals (four points). Rounding out the scorers for Pacific is sophomore forward Sammi Teramae, who has one goal and one assist for three points.
