Women's Soccer Hosts Riverside Today

USF hosts the Highlanders of UC Riverside today in a 4:00 match at Negoesco Stadium, before taking to the road for a Sunday contest against Cal State Fullerton. San Francisco squares off against the Titans at 1:00 PM at Titan Stadium.
Scouting UC Riverside: Riverside travels to Negoesco Stadium for the first-ever meeting between the Dons and Highlanders. This is the first season of women's soccer for Riverside which boasts 28 freshman on the roster. The Highlanders are coming off a 4-0 loss to Sacramento State after opening the season with two shut-outs against Nevada and Southern Utah. Freshman keeper Katie Blank starts her college campaign with a 0.80 goals against average for the four contests. Freshmen strikers Jessica Armel and Courtney Burns, each with two-goals games, look strong as the Highlanders take to the Hilltop. Riveside is coached by Veronica O'Brien who is in her first season as head coach for the Highlanders and is assisted by Ross Fogel and Barbara Santos.
