Complete Release in PDF Format THIS WEEK FOR THE DONS: USF closes out non-conference action this Friday at Negoesco Stadium. Kick-off against Seattle University is set for 5:00 PM. The last time USF hosted Seattle University, the Dons took a 4-1 victory (1992). On Sunday, San Francisco opens up West Coast Conference play at Saint Mary's. Kick off in Moraga, CA is set for noon. Last season, USF took a 2-1 win at Negoesco Stadium (10/14/07). NEXT UP FOR USF: The Dons continue WCC play on the road, traveling to San Diego for a 7:00 PM Friday (10/17) match and come back to the Bay Area to meet the Broncos at Santa Clara on Sunday (10/19). Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM. Before the Dons, Santa Clara hosts Saint Mary's. Nicole Moore LEADS THE DONS: Freshman forward Nicole Moore is leading the Dons offense this season. The Clearfield, UT native has four goals and eight points. Her first collegiate goal came in a 1-0 shutout over Tennessee-Martin in the Pacific Fall Classic (9/12). She then scored both goals in the 2-1 win over San Jose State (9/18). In last week's game against Cal State Bakersfield, she scored her third game winner of the year, helping the Dons to a 2-0 victory at Negoesco Stadium (10/5). FRESHMEN MAKING AN IMPACT: Through nine games this season, the incoming freshmen have been making quite an impact, with 13 of the 14 already seeing significant playing time. Three of them have already recorded their first collegiate goals, three of which were also game winners. Forward Kelli Woodard earned the win for USF with a shot against Northern Colorado (W 1-0, 8/29). She also had the assist in USF's 1-0 season opening win over Fresno State (8/22). Woodard is tied for first with two assists. Defender Kallie Caldwell kept the Dons from being shutout with a goal in the 84th minute of a double overtime tie at Northridge (9/28). Defender Lauren Abarca is tied for first in assists with two, both in the 2-1 win over San Jose State (9/18). Defender Abbey Kaufman earned her first assist in the 2-0 shutout of CSUB (10/5). RETURNERS DOING THEIR JOB: USF veterans are doing their job on the field, especially senior midfielder Katherine Kimure and junior forward Kristina Hall. Kimure scored the Dons first goal of the year, a game winner in the 1-0 victory over Fresno State (8/22). Hall scored a goal in the 4-1 loss to Colorado that prevented the Dons from being shutout on the road (8/31). She also added an assist in the 1-1 double overtime tie at Northridge (9/28), and at home in the 2-0 win over CSUB (10/5). Sophomore forward Keonna Robinson also got in on the action, adding an assist to freshman Kelli Woodard's goal against Northern Colorado (8/29). Senior forward Alexis Mielke added her first goal of the season in the 2-0 win over Bakersfield (10/5). Kelly Pohle IN GOAL: Junior goalkeeper Kelly Pohle is having a great year in between the posts. She leads the team in nearly every goalkeeping category, including saves (45), minutes (726:23), wins (4), and shutouts (2). USF DOUBLES LAST SEASON'S WIN TOTAL: With five victories on the season, the Dons have more than doubled their 2007 win total of two. At 5-4-2, USF is above .500 going into its final non-conference game on Friday. The Dons can open WCC play on Sunday at no worse than a .500 mark. DONS AMONG THE WCC LEADERS: Five Dons are among the top ten in 11 West Coast Conference categories. Leading the way with four, freshman forward Nicole Moore is tied for first with three game winners, tied for sixth with four goals, tied for seventh with 0.33 goals per game, and tied for ninth with eight points. Also with four spots, junior goalkeeper Kelly Pohle is second with 5.00 saves per game, fourth with 45 saves, seventh with a 1.24 goals against average, and tied for seventh with two shutouts. Senior midfielder Katherine Kimure is third with 36 shots, and tied for third with 3.00 shots per game. Junior forward Kristina Hall is 10th in both points per game (0.71) and goals per game (0.29). Senior goalie Anika Steig is ninth with 13 saves. As a team, the Dons are second in the conference with 64 saves, and tied for third with five shutouts.

Following closely behind are sophomore midfielder Kara Kuttler and freshman midfielder Kassandra Riozzi, who each have two goals, two assists, and six points. Head coach Juli Woodard is in her 12th year at the helm of the Redhawks, and boasts a 169-54-22 career record.
A LOOK AT SAINT MARY'S COLLEGE: The Gaels are currently 6-2-3, and sitting in third place in conference standings. Their last win was a 2-1 double overtime win at Nevada (10/5). SMC is led by junior forward Ashley Nied, who has five goals and ten points. Senior midfielder Stefani Rocco has three goals and six points. Head coach Kelly Lindsey is in her third season at the helm for Saint Mary's. Lindsey has a 14-28-7 career record.
