Women's Tennis Downs UC Santa Cruz 6-1 to Open 2004 Season

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis opened the 2004 season with a 6-1 victory against UC Santa Cruz Friday at Golden Gate Park. The Lady Dons swept the singles point and took victories in the top-five singles spots, with the Banana Slugs breaking through for a win at #6.
Camille Pamart debuted at #1 for USF cruising to a 6-1, 6-4 win against Katie Frick, while Megan Tiegs earned the win at #2, 6-4, 6-4 against Sara Moglen. Gabi Ruiz battled Courtney Armstrong for a 6-4, 7-5 victory at #3, while #4 Anna Skogerboe cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win against Jocelyn Werner. Michelle Duncan captured a victory against Erica Lee, 6-1, 6-1 at #5.
San Francisco returns to action when they host Hawaii Saturday, January 31. The match against the Wahine begins at 11:00 AM at Golden Gate Park.
