USF Women's Tennis Splits Pair of Matches at Cal Poly

(San Luis Obispo, CA) - USF women's tennis split a pair of matches over the weekend, winning its season opener against Westmont, 7-0 before falling the next day to Cal Poly 5-2. Dons number one singles player sophomore Camille Pamart won both matches, starting the year 2-0.
After dropping just five sets in doubles action and 16 in singles play against NAIA Westmont, San Francisco battled the Mustangs. Cal Poly swept the doubles point and won at two, three, four and five singles. Pamart won at number one with a 7-5, 7-6 decision against Samantha Waller, while senior Anna Skogerboe took a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Falon Lopez at number six.
USF plays its home opener Thursday, February 3 against Montana. First serve against the Lady Griz is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Olympic Club.
