USF Women's Tennis Falls to Santa Clara 4-3

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Bay Area and West Coast Conference rival Santa Clara Friday afternoon at Golden Gate Park. The Lady Dons (1-3) won the doubles point and lost wars at the number two and number four singles spots against the Broncos.
USF #1 Camille Pamart played well in a 6-2, 7-6 (6) victory against Janalle Kaloi. Anna Skogerboe took a 6-4, 6-2 win against Casey Knutson at #5 singles. In addition Joana Laranjiha and Pamart captured a win at #1 doubles, 8-4, while Megan Tiegs and Gabi Ruiz took a 8-6 victory at #2 doubles.
San Francisco returns to action when they take on San Jose State Tuesday Feb. 10 at the Olympic Club. The match against the Spartans is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
