USF Dispatches San Jose State 6-1 in Women's Tennis Action

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis swept the singles point and won five singles matches en route to a 6-1 victory against San Jose State Tuesday afternoon at the Olympic Club. The Lady Dons (2-3) won at number one through four singles and at number six while the Spartans (1-2) managed a point at number five singles.
Camille Pamart took a 7-5, 6-3 win at number one singles against Ana Lukner, while Megan Tiegs came from behind to defeat Courtney Koenigsfeld in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 marathon at number two. Gabriella Ruiz cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three against Rokie Carijani. Anna Skogerboe dispatched Elke Harris 6-2, 6-3 at number four and Courtney Chung lost her first set and bounced back for a 2-6, 6-3 (10-8) victory for USF at number six.
USF returns to action when they host Pacific Friday, Feb. 13 at 2:00 PM at Golden Gate Park.
