Women's Tennis Falls to Saint Mary's 5-2

(Moraga, CA) - San Francisco women's tennis dropped a 5-2 decision to West Coast Conference foe Saint Mary's. USF falls to 1-5 on the season.
Junior Jennifer-Lee Heinser (N. 65) continued her dominance of the WCC, taking a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Catherine Isip. Junior Jessy Mekpoh also earned a point for the Dons, defeating Molly Aloia 7-6, 4-6, 1-0. Heinser and freshman Melinda Akerbrant won in doubles, defeating Alex Poorta and Claire Soper 8-3, but with SMC winning at No. 2 and 3, they earned the doubles point.
USF returns to action next Saturday, February 20. The Dons host Pacific at the Cal Tennis Club at 2:00 PM.
