USF Women's Tennis Dominates Hawaii, 6-1

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis dispatched Hawaii 6-1 in non-conference action Friday afternoon at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. The Dons (3-2) swept the doubles point against the Wahine (1-5).
Sophomore Camille Pamart won a big battle at number one singles against senior Lauren Fitzgerald, winning 0-6, 7-5, 6-1. Pamart fought off four match points in the second set for the victory. Freshman Emma Taylor downed senior Justine Boutet 6-3, 7-6 at number three singles, while sophomore Joana Macedo seized a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 decision against senior Paige Mainor at number four. Senior Anna Skogerboe took a 7-5, 7-5 win against Kimberly Curtis at number five singles and freshman Pichaya Laosirichon blanked sophomore Kana Aikawa 6-0, 6-0 in the sixth spot.
Hawaii's singles win came at number two where sophomore Sylvia Jaros downed sophomore Megan Tiegs 6-4, 6-2.
USF returns to action when they host Bay Area and West Coast Conference rival Santa Clara Friday, Feb. 25. First serve against the Broncos is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Olympic Club.
