Dons Win Third Straight, Topping Visiting North Texas 5-1
March 20, 2007
The USF women's tennis team won their third straight, topping North Texas 5-1 in a rain delayed match at Golden Gate Park Tuesday.
The Dons took an early 2-0 lead as Jenny Sperry (6-0, 6-0) and Joana Macedo (6-1, 6-0) breezed to quick wins.
Camille Pamart (6-0, 6-3) won her match at number one and Nisha Dixit won 6-2, 6-0 at number six to clinch the win.
"It was a good effort," said coach Hilary Somers. "It was hard to prepare not knowing if the weather would clear, but we took care of business. We have a tough match tomorrow."
The Dons are in action again at Golden Gate Park Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. when they host Northern Colorado.
