Dons Netters Stay Hot, Defeat Northern Colorado 6-1

The USF women's tennis team remained hot, winning their fourth straight in convincing fashion in defeating visiting Northern Colorado 6-1 at Golden Gate Park Wednesday.
The Dons started off by taking the doubles point with the team of Camille Pamart and Mylene Martin winning 8-3, Joana Macedo and Lauren Hickey earning a 8-6 win and Kelly Hickey and Ema Taylor taking an 8-4 decision.
The momentum continued with the Dons winning five of six singles matches, all in straight sets. Pamart won 6-4, 6-3 over Tabatha Knopp at number one, Taylor topped Meredith Krystofik 6-1, 6-1, Martin defeated Karen Groll 6-1, 6-2, Jenny Sperry bested Renee Nuccio 6-3, 6-0 and Lauren Hickey outlasted Christina Shelly 7-6, 6-2. USF's only singles loss was at number five where Nisha Dixit fell in straight sets to Tiffany Knop.
USF (7-8) continues its schedule at home 1:00 p.m. Sunday when they host Portland at Golden Gate Park.
