USF Defeats Southern Utah 6-1

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis won five of six singles matches and all doubles matches in a contest against Southern Utah Saturday at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. The Lady Dons improve their season record with the win to 5-6. Gabi Ruiz defeated Katie Zobrist of Southern Utah 6-4, 6-1 at the number one spot for USF singles, Caroline Tweeton defeated Kendra Gleason 6-3, 6-2 at number two singles, Carey Savage defeated Andee Durrant 6-3, 7-5 at number three, Anna Skogerboe defeated Ashlee Gardner 6-0, 6-3 at number four, and Michelle Duncan defeated Mandie Walker 6-0, 6-0 at the number five singles spot. The Lady Dons return to action Thursday, April 4th when the host the Gaels of Saint Mary's College at 3:30 pm at the Olympic Club. USF def. Southern Utah 6-1 DOUBLES: 1. Ruiz/Skogerboe (USF) def.
