(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis made short work of UC Riverside in women's non-conference tennis action, taking a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon at Golden Gate Park. With the win, the Lady Dons improve to 7-6 on the season.

USF number one Gabi Ruiz cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win to set the tone, while number two Caroline Tweeton won a marathon match, 7-6, 3-7, 7-6 (10-2). Caroline Savage won 6-3, 6-4 at number three, while Michelle Duncan took a 2-6, 7-5 (10-7) win at number five. Nikki Kobayashi won at number six for the Lady Dons, 6-1, 6-2.

Ruiz and Anna Skogerboe won 8-6 at number one doubles and Tweeton and Savage won at number two to capture the doubles point for USF.

San Francisco returns to action on Tuesday when they play San Jose State in Los Gatos. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
