San Francisco Downs UC Riverside 6-1 In Women's Tennis

(San Francisco) - USF women's tennis made short work of UC Riverside in women's non-conference tennis action, taking a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon at Golden Gate Park. With the win, the Lady Dons improve to 7-6 on the season. USF number one Gabi Ruiz cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win to set the tone, while number two Caroline Tweeton won a marathon match, 7-6, 3-7, 7-6 (10-2). Caroline Savage won 6-3, 6-4 at number three, while Michelle Duncan took a 2-6, 7-5 (10-7) win at number five. Nikki Kobayashi won at number six for the Lady Dons, 6-1, 6-2. Ruiz and Anna Skogerboe won 8-6 at number one doubles and Tweeton and Savage won at number two to capture the doubles point for USF.
