USF Women's Tennis Bests San Jose State, 4-3

Los Gatos, Calif.--The University of San Francisco women's tennis team (7-9, 2-3 WCC) yesterday topped San Jose State University (6-10) at the Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club. The final score was 4-3 as the Dons swept the doubles matches and split the six singles matches.
At the No. 1 doubles Camille Pamart and Joana Macedo defeated Ashley Tavita and Courtney Koenigsfeld 8-5. In the No. 2 spot USF's Megan Tiegs and Anna Skogerboe won their match with Elke Harms and Stephanie Irwin 8-2, as Emma Taylor and Michelle Duncan teamed to beat June Lee and Kathy Van 8-6.
In singles, Emma Taylor in the No. 1 position won 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Joanna Macedo (No. 3) won her match 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 as did Pichaya Laosirichon (No. 5) 6-1, 6-0.
Next the Dons meet Santa Clara on Friday, April 8 in Santa Clara. Match time is at 2:00 p.m.
