The USF women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to the University of Portland in the first round of the WCC championships Friday afternoon at Santa Clara. USF got a doubles win by Carey Savage and Caroline Tweeton at the number two. In the singles, Savage and Anna Skogerboe each won decisions.

USF will play Gonzaga Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
