Women's Tennis Falls to Second Seed San Diego 4-0

The University of San Diego women's tennis team, ranked 46th in the nation and seeded No. 2 defeated the USF women 4-0 over San Francisco Friday in the first round of the West Coast Conference Championships at St. Mary's College in Moraga.
USF will face Portland in the consolation bracket Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The Toreros won the doubles point, then earned singles wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles. Garnering singles wins for the Toreros were Emma Murphy at No. 1 topping Camile Pamart, Lauren Perl over Megan Tiegs at No. 2 and Jenny Brown over Joana Laranjinha at No. 4. All other matches were suspended after the Toreros clinched the match.
