Women's Tennis Completes Season With 4-1 Win Over Gonzaga

The USF women's tennis team closed out its season by topping Gonzaga 4-1 in the seventh place match of the West Coast Conference Championships Sunday at Saint Mary's in Morgaga. Senior Gabi Ruiz closed out her USF tennis career with wins in both doubles and singles matches.
The Dons (13-11) started by sweeping to the singles point. The team of Camille Pamart and Joana Laranjinha won 8-1 and the Ruiz and Magan Tiegs pairing won 8-4.
In singles, USF clinched the match with wins at the two, three and five slots. Megan Tiegs defeated GU's Angela Fry 6-4, 6-2, Gabi Ruiz won 7-5, 6-1 over Leigh Orne and Anna Skogerboe swept by Katie Sanders 6-0 and 6-2.
