USF Women's Tennis Beat UC Davis 6-1

San Francisco, CA. - USF women's tennis defeated UC Davis 6-1 in a non-conference match Tuesday at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. On a warm afternoon in the city, the Dons (5-5, 1-2 WCC) won their second match in a row after defeating Gonzaga over the weekend.
USF won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 and went on to win five out of the six single matches. Camille Pamart started off the singles with 6-1, 6-1 win over Ally Muller at No. 1 and in USF's lone singles loss, Joana Macedo suffered a difficult defeat to Robin Guier 6-4, 4-6, (10-6) at No. 2. Megan Tiegs brought the momentum back to the Dons side with her defeat of Audrey Wingo 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 and Anna Skogerboe defeated Kaitlin Callen in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4.
In the final two match of the afternoon, Pichaya Laosirichon defeated Amanda Wise 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 and Michelle Duncan defeated Ashley Lehman 6-3, 7-6 (3) to close out the victory for the Dons.
The Dons return to action Thursday, March 10, as they take on UC San Diego on the road in San Diego, CA.
