USF number one singles player Gabi Ruiz was instumental in leading USF to their best start ever, 10-0 in February, earning her West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Month honors.

The Chula Vista native was 9-1 at the number one singles slot as USF defeated WCC foes Portland and St. Mary's, as well as nonconference foes San Jose State, Sacramento State and Pacific.
