Jenni Heinser Named to ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII At-Large Team

(San Bruno, CA) - The West Coast Conference announced today that sophomore tennis player Jennifer-Lee Heinser was named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII at-large team. She earned third team honors.
Heinser, has enjoyed a stellar career for the Dons, twice earning the WCC Player of the Year Award. Her biggest victory of her career came this season when she defeated then No. 7 Laura Giola of Furman University. She compiled a 16-3 record at the No. 1 position and is currently a business administration major with a GPA of 3.88.
In the At-Large program, nominations are limited to three per school per gender (a total of three men's at-large candidates and three women's at-large candidates). The at-large program consists of the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. There is no limit to the number of candidates that may be nominated for a particular sport within the at-large program. District VIII consists of schools located in California, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington.
Seven other WCC student-athletes were named to District VIII at-large teams.
