San Francisco Hosts Successful Track and Field Invitational
Complete San Francisco Track and Field Invitational Results in PDF Format

(San Francisco) - USF track hosted the inaugural San Francisco Track and Field Invitational, sponsored by Lombardi Sports Friday afternoon on a beautiful day at Kezar Stadium. The Dons won four events on the day, including a men's and women's sweep in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR). USF captured the men's DMR with a time of 10:27.92, while the women finished at 12:27.76. San Francisco also posted the top collegiate finish in five additional events on the day. On the women's side, sophomore Renee Stribling enjoyed a strong day, posting the top collegiate and overall runner-up showing in the 800 at 2:17.44, just behind Diljeet Mendoza of the Nike Farm Team at 2:17.39. Senior Stephanie Voelckers won the long jump (4.63 meters) and posted a runner-up finish in the 400 at 0:59.20 - the top collegiate finish in the event. Senior Jeannine Hagedorn also posted the top collegiate finish and a runner-up overall showing in the 1500 with a time of 4:36.59. Freshman Lucy Miller won the high jump (1.42 meters) for the Dons. On the men's side, freshman Cheyne Inman enjoyed a strong finish in the 5000 placing second with the top collegiate finish at 15:04.63, while junior Eric Flemming accomplished the same feat in the 10000 at 33:14.94. USF returns to action when it competes in the Hornet Open Friday, May 6 in Sacramento.
