USF Turns in Strong Showing at Sacramento State Open
May 6, 2005 (Sacramento) - USF women's track enjoyed a strong meet at the 2005 Sacramento State Open Friday afternoon in the state capital. Senior Jeannine Hagedorn won for the 1500 with a seasonal best of 4:32.88, more than eight seconds in front of the runner-up. It was the third victory of the spring for Hagedorn. Sophomore Renee Stribling turned in a strong showing in the 800, placing third with a time of 2:14.21, setting a PR in the process. Freshmen Jennifer Hartford (4:48.18), Lucy Miller (4:48.48) both set PR's in the 1500, finishing seventh and eighth respectively. Junior Ariana Morey finished 11th with a PR of 4:51.06. USF head coach Helen Lehman-Winters was pleased with the performance of her team in one of the final tune-ups to its conference meet. "Our women competed really well today. Hopefully this will establish momentum heading into our conference meet next weekend," Lehman-Winters said.
