San Francisco Volleyball Opens Spring Season Saturday at Pacific
San Francisco Volleyball opens the 2012 Spring Season Saturday, April 7 when it competes in the Pacific Spring Tournament in Stockton. The Dons will take on Cal Poly, San Jose State, Sonoma State and the host Tigers in matches consisting of two games to 25.

San Francisco volleyball made dramatic strides in 2011 and today the West Coast Conference recognized four student-athletes – all of them underclassmen – with spots on the all-conference teams. Sophomore middle blocker Malina Terrell earned first team honors, freshman middle blocker Valentina Zaloznik earned honorable mention and all-freshman team selection.

San Francisco volleyball opened the last week of the 2011 regular season with a hard-fought 3-1 loss (25-21, 25-16, 21-25, 25-17) to No. 18 Pepperdine Thursday night at Firestone Fieldhouse. The Dons (15-13, 7-8 WCC) simply could not slow down the Waves (20-6, 14-1 WCC), who bounced back from their lone league loss of the season against Saint Mary’s last week.
