(Northridge) - San Francisco bounced back with an impressive sweep against Kent State Saturday in the Fremont Investment and Loan Invitational Saturday at the Matadome. USF (1-2) got another double-double-performance from junior outside hitter Brittanie Budinger who pounded a match-high 13 kills to go along with 14 digs to lead the Dons past Kent State (1-2).

USF came out on fire offensively in the first game, hitting at a .444 clip and recorded 13 kills with just one attack error. For the match, San Francisco out-hit the Golden Flashes .213 to .024. USF played well defensively with three players recording double-digit digs led by Budinger's 14, followed by 11 from junior libero Caroline Skacel and 10 from junior setter April Scoggin, who also dished out a match-high 31 assists.

San Francisco's middles performed well as junior Liz MacAusland notched seven kills and added three blocks. Freshman middle blocker KeLicia Shorts recorded five kills to go along with four digs and three blocks. Freshman opposite Jencie Lejeune registered six kills and added eight digs.

USF returns to action with their final match in the Fremont Investment and Loan Invitational when they play North Carolina A & T at 4:00 PM.
