USF Volleyball Falls at Pepperdine 3-0 in WCC Play

(Malibu, CA) - USF concluded its three-game West Coast Conference road trip Saturday night at Firestone Fieldhouse and dropped a 30-12, 30-21, 30-27 decision to Pepperdine. The Dons (15-11, 2-8 WCC) could not deny the Waves (14-10, 7-4 WCC) who won its second straight league decision on their senior night.

Sophomore middle blocker Linzy Kearney led the way for San Francisco offensively with nine kills on .333 hitting to go along with four blocks, while senior middle blocker KeLicia Shorts added seven kills to go along with four blocks (one solo).

Freshman setter Darcy Carroll dished out 20 assists, while sophomore defensive specialist Ally Henthorn recorded a team-high 12 digs. Junior libero Theresa Hart added 10 digs, while sophomore outside hitter Kristin Hasselbebrg added 11 digs to go along with six kills and three blocks (one solo).

Pepperdine dominated on offense and held a 51-31 kills edge and a .241 - .067 advantage in attack percentage.

USF returns to action Friday November 11 when it hosts Portland in WCC play. First serve against the Pilots is set for 7:00 PM at War Memorial Gym.
