The summer is flying by. . . I hope it is going really great for everyone. It is only three weeks until we start practicing again. Everyone reports on August 6th and we begin training on the 8th. The summers never last very long for those of us in Fall Sports.

There seems to be a lot of excitement to get started and see what the future holds for the program. Many of the players have been in to work at camps and are doing a really great job getting themselves ready! I have been very impressed with the fitness levels I have seen in most.

All of the incoming freshmen are here training this week. It has been fun to have the opportunity to work with them and get to know them better. It is a really good class that will definitely help immediately. I have been impressed with the work ethic and quality of play I have seen.

The summer has also marked the beginnings of some of our renovations. The locker room is moving along and should be done by the time everyone returns. It will really be a nice change for our team. Hopefully it will meet everyone's expectations. We have painted, installed new carpet, new flooring in wet areas, a make-up counter, refurbished the lockers, and just given everything a nice face lift. There is work still to do, but we are getting there.

Ki Choi came on board June 1st and has done a great job. He stepped right in and has really put in a lot of work in all areas this summer. He has been instrumental in the locker room work and has handled camps, as well.

The team will have a fresh new look on the court this year too. ASIC's has come on board as the official uniform and shoe of USF Volleyball. I personally want to thank Char Taginov at ASIC's for her work on our behalf. They have really come through with some great products and help for us. Buy those ASIC's shoes!!!

Baden has also joined our program as the official ball of USF Volleyball. Baden really makes a great ball and I really appreciate their efforts on our behalf. Baden will also be the supplier of all camp balls, as well.

The Sports Information Office is hard at work on the new media guides and all. I am confident we will really be turning out some nice things for our fans. Schedule Cards will be available in August with media guides to follow.
