USF Volleyball Signs Haley Carroll For 2006 Season

Nov. 10, 2005

(San Francisco) - USF head coach Jeff Nelson has announced the signing of 5-7 outside hitter/libero Haley Carroll (Gilroy, CA) to a National Letters of Intent (NLI) to play volleyball at the University of San Francisco in 2006. A highly skilled prep and club player, Carroll leads the prestigious Western Catholic Athletic League in kills (3.79) and ranks second in digs (5.27) during league play. Carroll's sister Darcy, is currently a freshman setter with the Dons.

Nelson is thrilled to welcome another member of the Carroll family to the Hilltop.

"Haley is an outstanding young talent. She brings a very high level of passing and defensive skills, along with high energy and excitement to USF. Haley has a complete game and will raise the level of our program immediately," Nelson said.

Carroll is a highly accomplished player with outstanding prep and club credentials. A two-time West Catholic Athletic League choice at Valley Christian, Carroll won a national championship on the City Beach U-15 club team and played on a national runner-up squad with City Beach U-17 last season.

"Haley comes in with a ton of experience and brings intensity and passion to the position. She's had great coaching and will make an immediate impact," Nelson said.
