Are you ready for an action-packed, fun-filled weekend of Dons athletics on the Hilltop?

With a little creative planning and stamina, fans will have the opportunity to take in seven events over the course of three days beginning on Friday night.

The #DonUp Weekend begins on Friday night, when both USF's women's soccer and volleyball teams will be in action against West Coast Conference rivals Saint Mary's and Santa Clara.

Take Saturday morning and part of the afternoon to recover before you pack up the family again to head back to campus for the annual Hilltop HoopSFest featuring both men's and women's basketball teams. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the festivities get underway at 7:00 p.m.

Sleep fast because you'll have a quick turnaround for Sunday's soccer doubleheader at Negoesco Stadium. USF's women's team kicks things off at 1:00 p.m. against Pacific and after a little break, the men's team takes to the pitch at 7:00 p.m. to meet arch-rival Santa Clara.

In addition to a full plate of competition, the Diamond Dons will be hosting its annual Alumni Weekend at the new Benedetti Diamond.

Volleyball – USF vs. Santa Clara, 7:00 p.m.; War Memorial at The Sobrato Center
The contest has been designated as a "Dig Pink" match in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All fans wearing pink will be admitted free. The Dons feature one of the top young players in
Tyna Adamcikova but will have their hands full against a Santa Clara team that was ranked as high as No. 17 in the nation earlier this season. First serve is 7:00 p.m.

Women's Soccer – USF vs. Saint Mary's, 7:00 p.m.; Negoesco Stadium
The Dons return to Negoesco Stadium for the first time since Sept. 18 to play host to long-time rival Saint Mary's beginning at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are in search of its first conference win. USF has won three out of the last four meetings in the series, including a 2-1 victory last season in Moraga when
Camille Wilson provided the game-winning goal. The Gaels are 2-8-2 on the season but own a signature win over No. 12 California.

Baseball Alumni Weekend
The Diamond Dons Alumni Weekend gets started with the Blast From the Past Game at 1:00 p.m. on Benedetti Diamond. There will be a post-game social on the Hayes-Healy Plaza following the game.

Hilltop HoopSFest
Get ready to tip off the 2016-17 basketball season at the annual Hilltop HoopSFest on Saturday, Oct. 8. The festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the entire USF community will have an opportunity to enjoy a fun night of free entertainment and get their first glimpse of the Dons' men's and women's basketball squads under first-year head coaches
Kyle Smith and
Molly Goodenbour. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will received a free glow stick and the first 300 students through the doors will be treated to pizza. The evening's events are highlighted by a three-point shooting and slam dunk competition, along with other games and giveaways.

Sunday, Oct. 9
Women's Soccer – USF vs. Pacific; Negoesco Stadium; 1:00 p.m.
Bring your sunscreen and watch the Dons battle Pacific in a West Coast Conference match on a classic Indian Summer's day in the City. Both teams will be coming off hard-fought matches against Saint Mary's and Santa Clara, respectively, on Friday. Sunday's contest will the Dons' Pink Match, as USF will partner with Bay Area non-profit HERS Breast Cancer Foundation to help raise support and awareness for breast cancer. Fans wearing pink to the match will be admitted free and USF Athletics will be collection donations for HERS during the match.

Baseball Alumni Weekend
The Diamond Dons wrap up their Alumni Weekend with a pair of games. The Alumni Classic game will get underway at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Dons vs. the Pros game at 2:00 p.m. A post-game reception will follow on the Hayes-Healy Plaza following the second game.

Men's Soccer – USF vs. Santa Clara; Negoesco Stadium; 7:00 p.m.
The Dons and Broncos clash under the lights at Negoesco Stadium on Sunday in a match that could have huge WCC title implementations later in the season. The Dons enter the match playing some of their best soccer of the season with back-to-back wins over No. 12 Stanford and UC Riverside, but have been idle since Sept. 25. The defending WCC champion Broncos are coming off a 1-0 loss at UAB on Tuesday night. USF has won the last three matches in the series, including a 2-1 triumph last year at Stevens Stadium on
David Garrett's dramatic game-winner in the 90th minute.
