Tim Widing, who led the Dons in stroke average and recorded six top-10 finishes in nine events this season, was one of 11 first team selections to the All-WCC Men's Golf Team which was released today by the conference office.

The freshman from Sweden recorded a team-best 70.4 stroke average in his first season on the Hilltop and was the team's top finisher in seven of nine events this season. Widing finished solo third at the recently completed West Coast Conference Championships in Provo, Utah, which marked his sixth top-10 and fourth top-5 finish of the season. He recorded three of the team's lowest rounds of the season, including a school-record, 9-under 63 in the final round of the Ping Cougar Classic on April 11.

Patrick Fishburn of BYU and Sahith Theegala of Pepperdine were selected as the WCC's Co-Players of the Year, while Pepperdine head coach Michael Beard earned Coach of the Year honors. Rhett Rasmussen of BYU was named the WCC's Freshman of the Year.
